Day 1: Arrive to the emerald islands
You will be received at the airport by our guest executive/driver and escorted to your hotel. After check in, your day tour would start with a visit to the historic national memorial Cellular Jail also known as kaalapaani. Later in the day visit Corbyns cove beach. In the evening witness the Sound and Light show at the historic Cellular Jail which gives you an one-on-one experience of the history of the jail and the sacrifice of its inmates for freedom movement.
Note: Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and public holidays. In case you land on Monday, the itinerary will be suitably amended to cover this attraction on some other day.
Day 2: Visit North Bay Island (Coral island) & Ross Island
North Bay Island In the morning reach water sports complex to board the boat for North Bay. It is a coral island 20 mins by speed boat from Port Blair. The beach with its fringing coral reef (a coral formation directly attached to the shore) is the best for Scuba Diving & Sea Walking. The corals at North Bay are spread over a large area and home to variety of fishes. The sea life here has been fascinating tourists from all over the globe. This is a perfect getaway for the adventure seekers. Optional activities in coral island: Scuba, Walk Snorkeling. (It is advised to pre-book these activities for discounted rates and also save time). To know more about these activities Ross Island Visit the Ross island, once a British colony and also the capital of Andaman. This island hosts the remains of the colonial rule and is presently looked after by the Indian Navy. There is a museum named “Smritika†which depicts the history of the island. Also present are the peacocks hundreds of friendly deers roaming around freely.
Note: You can have your lunch in the eateries in North bay.
Day 3: Havelock Island, Radhanagar Beach
Board the early morning boat/cruise for Havelock. Cruise in the Andaman Sea with the flying fishes and Dolphins (you may be lucky to sight some) to reach Havelock islands. Our tour executive will receive you at the jetty and take you to Radhanagar beach. Spend your day amidst the white sand and the waves. This beach has been rated the best beach in Asia. Do not forget to take a long walk on the coast line, between the tall standing trees.
Note: Ask the hotel to give you a packed breakfast as the ferry leaves early in the morning. Carry your swimming costume. Changing room with fresh water & lockers are available in Radhanagar beach. Carry minimum luggage with you.
Day 4: Elephant Beach
Once home to the wild elephants, the Hathidera beach (as it is called by the locals) is a 20 minutes ride by the high speed boat. The calm blue shallow water is just perfect for beginner snorkelers and that is why we take you for one complimentary session of snorkeling with kit and guide. There are other optional water sports facilities on direct payment like jet ski, banana ride etc. The beach is very scenic with fallen trees & white sand. Ride the waves back to Havelock.
Note: In case of rough sea conditions if sailing is not permitted, alternate tour of Light house shall be conducted.
Day 5: Return to Port Blair, visit local museums & do some shopping, Chidiyatapu Sunset
Return to Port Blair by morning ferry. Check in to your hotel. After lunch visit Anthropological museum maintained and managed by ASI (Anthropological Survey of India), it is an exquisite small museum showcasing life style of the aborigines of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Visit Sagarika emporium or some local handicraft shops to pick some wood or shell craft as a souvenir for your dear ones back home. Chidiyatapu Sunset Chidiyatapu as the name suggests is a bird watchers paradise. The road to this place passes through a dense forest and the chirping sounds of the birds throughout the journey gives you a firsthand feel of the Mother Nature. Munda Pahad beach is ideal for viewing the breathtaking sunset. Dont miss out the special benches made of the local tree stems. The clouds here change landscapes every minute and the sun setting in the sea is a treat to your eyes.
Note: This is not a must do tour, you can give it a skip if you are tired.
Day 6: Baratang Island through Jarawa reserve and Limestone caves
Wake up early morning for your day trip to Baratang Island. Take your packed breakfast along and start your journey through the dense forest (110 kms/4.5 hours drive) crossing of the protected Jarawa reserve to reach Baratang. Ride the speed boats through the mangroves to the magnificent Lime Stone Caves.
Note: Do not take photographs or stop the vehicle to interact with the Jarawas. Guests violating the tribal reserve rules are liable to be prosecuted.
Day 7: Fly back home with everlasting memories of your tour
Conclude your tour with transfer to the airport to board your return flight back home. Arrive home with wonderful memories of the most precious holiday in Andaman, which we are sure you will treasure for a lifetime. - Do not enter in restricted or tribal areas around the Islands.
- If you happen to visit during summers make sure to carry all the necessary items like sunscreen lotion, a sipper, and sunglasses.
- For foreigners - Make sure to have enough Indian currency so you won't have trouble if your cash runs out.
- If you want to take part in water activities then, avail the service of certified instructors of an international professional organization like PADI, CMAS, NAUI, BSAC or SSI for safe driving experience.
- It is advised not to take pictures of the airport, government dockyard, naval wharf, dhanikari dam, defence establishments and Chatham Saw Mill.
- Proper permits are required to take video or film.
- Do not swim after consuming liquor for your own safety.
- In order to keep the streets clean, dispose of the garbage and plastics at proper places.
- Setting up tents and hammocks during nights by the beaches or forest is not allowed.
- Entering National Parks without permission is not allowed.
- Make sure to be a part of island annual festival during January.
- It is best if you consult with the lifeguards before entering the sea.
